David Bidwell

Owner of Crane Security Group LLC.  I am a husband and father of four.  Two of my children are serving their country, one in the Army and another in the Marines.  I am a 20-year law enforcement veteran.  I currently hold the rank of Captain and am also in charge of one of New York State's eleven Crime Analysis Centers.  I have held or otherwise been in charge of units pertaining to intelligence, special investigations, street crimes, SWAT, community policing, grants, and training.  I am a general topics instructor, and currently the lead instructor for CPTED in New York State, as well as Director of Broome County's multijurisdictional CPTED Team.  I also currently sit on the school board for the Windsor. School District.

Robert Charpinsky

Bob served in United States Marine Corps Reserves:  Fox Co. 2nd Battalion 25th Marines 4th Marine Division and served during: Operation Battle Griffin (Norway, 2005), Operation Iraqi Freedom (Khawait; Iraq 2003), Operation Enduring Freedom (New York City; Camp Lejune, North Carolina 2002), and Operation Sea Breeze (Ukraine, 2001).  While in the Marines bob was Primary Marksmanship Instructor, Range Instructor, Water Survival Qualified (WSQ1), Marine Corps Assault Climber, Rifle Expert, Pistol Marksman.  Bob was the Training Director for the Binghamton Police Department and also New York State Tactical Officers Association.  He is a certified Master Instructor through Division of Criminal Justice Services and holds certifications in Below 100 Instructor, BolaWrap Instructor, Glock - AR15 - Shotgun Armorer, Implicit Bias Instructor, New York State Firearms Instructor, New York State Defensive Tactics Instructor, New York Tactical Officers Association Firearms Instructor, Principled Policing Instructor, Reality Based Training Instructor, Suicide Prevention in Police / County Lockups, Field Training Officer, Taser Instructor, Use of Force Instructor, DCJS Mast Instructor.  Bob has served on the Metro Swat team holding the rank of team commander.  He is also the Vice President of Devil Dog Concepts.

Ryan Wood

Ryan Wood is an active serving Police Officer with over sixteen years of experience. He currently serves as an Investigator and Field Intelligence Officer, holding over ten years of experience within such fields. Ryan is experienced in conducting both criminal and non-criminal investigations. His experience includes, but is not limited to, initiating and pursuing criminal investigations, apprehending criminal offenders, developing intelligence information on criminal activity, recovering stolen property, and cultivating informants. Ryan also works closely with several local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as civilian crime analysts, to identify and address crime trends and patterns. He is a general topics instructor and currently conducts in-depth trainings for the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), as well as local police departments and training academies. Ryan also has advanced training in the practical usage of “Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design” (CPTED), which is a successful crime reduction strategy.  He is currently a co-lead instructor of CPTED for DCJS and is experienced in utilizing its core principles to conduct in-depth security site assessments at residential, commercial, and school settings.

Ben Conklin

Ben Conklin is a Police Lieutenant, currently serving as the Commanding Officer of his department’s Training and Education Division and as a Team Leader for their SWAT Team. Ben is a 12-year veteran of Law Enforcement and has been a certified instructor since 2013. As a primary instructor for both academy and in-service training, Ben has extensive experience instructing firearms, patrol tactics, reality based training and defensive tactics. Additionally, Ben is a member of the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services Firearms Panel, where he recently assisted in the development and implementation of a new statewide firearms curriculum for the Basic Course for Police.

Kyle Kemak

Kyle is an active serving Police Officer with approximately 10 years of experience. He currently serves as an investigator specializing in the technological aspects of investigations. He has over 7 years experience with Computer and Mobile Device Forensics, with experience in DVR/Camera systems, and drone operations. He has conducted training in various hardware and software utilized by his police department. Kyle also has advanced training in the practical usage of “Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design” (CPTED), which is a successful crime reduction strategy.  He is currently an instructor of CPTED for DCJS and is experienced in utilizing its core principles to conduct in-depth security site assessments at residential, commercial, and school settings. He also is the lead FARO scan operator.

Jim Conrad

Jim has been in Law Enforcement since 2007 and has been serving as a Detective within his department since 2017.  Jim has been deputized by the United States Marshals Service to investigate crimes as a Task Force Officer with the Federal Bureau of Investigations and is assigned to the Mid-State Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force.  He is experienced in all general, criminal, and juvenile investigations, with advanced certifications in child-centered and non-leading (Forensic Interviewing) techniques.  Jim's general investigation and Forensic interviewing experience has allowed him to conduct hundreds of confidential, sensitive, and thorough investigations, including Title IX investigations for non-law enforcement purposes.  The New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services has certified Jim as a general topics instructor.
